First launched back in 2008, SecurityGateway is the brainchild of Texas-based Alt-N technologies, developer of the popular alternative to Microsoft Exchange, MDaemon Messaging Server.

Morning folks, just a quick one to let you know Alt-N Technologies have just released an update for MDaemon Messaging Server and it includes some highly recommended security updates among other things.
Those other things...
In 14.0.2 you'll find a raft of tweaks and improvements along with a couple of minor branding changes. The more observant of you may notice that WebAdmin is now referred to as "MDaemon Remote Administration" and ComAgent is now the "WorldClient Instant Messenger". You'll also find some usability tweaks in Worldclient such as the ability to nickname favourite folders. 
As somebody in a non-technical role who responds better to a more visual style of learning, I'm often asking our resident software gurus to spell things out for me in the necessary 'dumbed down' fashion on the office whiteboard.
It saves their sanity, a little of my ego and ultimately means that I'm able (eventually) to grasp those more technical of concepts.
