The competition marked the launch of MDaemon Email Server, BlackBerry Edition, a powerful but easier to manage alternative to Exchange, which saw the introduction of full "BES-like" synchronisation for BlackBerry users and ActiveSync for users of iPhones, Android devices and Windows Mobiles.
